Prashanth Neel, celebrated for his groundbreaking successes with the KGF franchise and Salaar, has undeniably propelled Kannada cinema onto the global stage. With just his last three films, he has cemented his position as the most sought-after director in the country.
Recently, on the 10th anniversary of his debut film Ugramm, he participated in a show where he fondly recalled memories from the movie and shared insights into his personal favorites.
When questioned about his preferred director, Prashanth Neel unequivocally declared, “My all-time favorite director is Upendra. I’m not saying this because it’s a Kannada show. His films, such as Shhh!, Tharle Nan Maga, and Om, encompass three distinct genres, and it’s no small feat for a director to master such diversity, but Upendra has accomplished it.”
