Pushpa 2 Sees Unexpected Drop on Day 2 in Telugu States

Date:

After an extraordinary start at the box office with record-breaking collections across Telugu regions and the Hindi belt, Pushpa 2: The Rule has witnessed a surprising dip in its performance on Day 2 in the Telugu states. Despite being a highly anticipated sequel with positive reviews and mass appeal, the significant drop has left fans and industry observers puzzled.

The film’s Day 2 noon shows saw unexpectedly low occupancies, even when compared to other recent big-ticket releases like Devara and Kalki. The team acted swiftly, reducing ticket prices across regions in hopes of boosting attendance for the evening shows. The weekday release is also believed to have contributed to the lower turnout.

Another factor affecting collections is the change in show timings. Due to its runtime, theaters adjusted morning shows from 11 AM to 10 AM, which disrupted audience schedules and impacted box office numbers.

While these factors partly explain the dip, the magnitude of the drop remains surprising for a film of this stature. However, with a strong fan base and positive word-of-mouth, Pushpa 2 has ample opportunity to recover and regain momentum in the coming days, especially over the weekend. Fans and exhibitors are optimistic that the film will bounce back and solidify its box office run.
