National multiplex chain PVR INOX has introduced an innovative proposal aimed at enhancing the movie-watching experience for film enthusiasts. Under this plan, audiences will have the option to receive a refund if they decide to leave the theatre at any point during the film. Initially, this feature will be available at select theatres in the Delhi-NCR region.
To avail of this option, viewers must select the Flexi Show feature while booking their tickets. This feature comes with an additional 10% premium charge on the ticket price. The initiative is designed to provide audiences with greater flexibility and attract more footfall to theatres.
This concept could be a game-changer, allowing dissatisfied viewers to cut their losses. However, it may be most effective during a film’s first weekend, as negative reviews could deter potential viewers later. It remains to be seen if this strategy gains traction and is rolled out across the country.
