The highly popular Japanese anime Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, based on the epic Ramayana, is finally set to release in Indian theaters. The film will be available in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages in stunning 4K resolution, with the trailer dropping on YouTube in just two days.
Originally scheduled for release on October 18th last year, the film’s launch was postponed to ensure a wider release. Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama will be distributed in India by Geek Pictures India, AA Films, and Excel Films. Notably, renowned Telugu writer V. Vijayendra Prasad has contributed his expertise to the dubbing versions of the film.
The film’s popularity on social media is expected to drive significant audience interest, given its massive success when it was first released in Japan in 1993, where it became a blockbuster hit and earned a dedicated fan base. Now, Ramayana is poised to capture Indian audiences with the same level of success.
