Rashmika Mandanna Opens Up About Her Injury and Dedication to Chhaava

Date:

Rashmika Mandanna, fondly called the “National Crush” by her countless fans, recently took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note about her journey while dealing with three leg fractures. The actress, who has been making waves in Bollywood, was recently spotted limping and using a wheelchair during the promotional events for her highly anticipated film Chhaava. Photos of her at the airport in this condition quickly went viral on social media.

Despite her injuries, Rashmika continues to participate in promotional activities for the film. In a recently shared video, she expressed her gratitude for playing the role of Maharani Yesubai in Chhaava. She revealed that, much like her on-screen character, she chooses not to let her pain show. Fans have been showering her with love and appreciation for her dedication, while many expressed their concern and wished her a speedy recovery.

Rashmika on Playing Maharani Yesubai

In her note, Rashmika reflected on how she approached this challenging role:

“I remember being absolutely shocked when Laxman sir thought of giving me a role like this. I think I just surrendered because, as Vicky said, I had no reference. This story is filled with such majestic, impactful characters—how do you play them? For me, I just surrendered and followed what Laxman sir envisioned. There was a lot of rehearsal and practice, especially with the language, but it’s all about trust. When you trust your team, you let go of any baggage and give it your all. That’s what I’ve done, and that’s what you see on the screen.”

About Chhaava

Chhaava delves into the inspiring story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal, while Rashmika essays the role of Maharani Yesubai. The recently released trailer has been met with widespread acclaim, with fans applauding the film’s grandeur and the stellar performances of the cast. Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal of Aurangzeb has also left audiences impressed.

Rashmika’s resilience and dedication to her craft, even amidst physical challenges, have only deepened the admiration of her fans. As anticipation builds for Chhaava, her commitment to the film’s success serves as a true testament to her passion for acting.
