Rashmika Mandanna, one of the most sought-after actresses in Indian cinema, has taken a remarkable step in her career with her upcoming film The Girlfriend. In a rare move, she has reportedly chosen not to take any remuneration for her role in this project.
The film, directed by Rahul Ravindran and produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni under the banner of Geetha Arts, is set to release on November 7, 2025. The makers recently unveiled the trailer, which has already garnered significant attention and set high expectations among audiences.
During a press meet, producer Dheeraj Mogilineni shared insights into the film’s production process. He revealed that after Rashmika agreed to be part of the film, discussions about her remuneration were initiated. However, due to unavailability of her manager, Dheeraj personally approached Rashmika. To everyone’s surprise, she expressed her desire to contribute to the film without any financial compensation, stating that her focus was on completing the film successfully and discussing remuneration post-release.
This gesture by Rashmika has not only impressed her fans but also set a new benchmark in the industry, highlighting her commitment to meaningful cinema over monetary gains.
