In an interesting development from Tollywood, two prominent star kids — the sons of actor Ravi Teja and director-writer Trivikram Srinivas — are reportedly gearing up to join the direction team of the upcoming big-budget film Spirit. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Prabhas, is one of the most anticipated projects in the Telugu film industry this year.
According to sources, Trivikram’s son, Rishi Manoj (also known simply as “Rishi”) has already been working in assistant-direction roles and is expected to assist on Spirit. Rishi had previously assisted on the film Kingdom and has also directed and edited short films, showing his interest in the craft of filmmaking. Separately, Ravi Teja’s son, Mahadhan Bhupatiraju, who made a child-actor appearance in the film Raja the Great, is also reportedly set to join the direction crew of Spirit. While neither participation has been officially confirmed by the makers, the buzz in industry circles is strong.
This move highlights an emerging trend in Tollywood: next-generation film-industry figures gaining behind-the-scenes experience, rather than directly debuting as lead actors. By working under an established director like Sandeep Reddy Vanga on a major tent-pole like Spirit, both young men appear to be building a foundation in filmmaking before stepping into more visible roles. If the reports turn out true, this will be a notable launch pad for their future careers and underlines how film families are evolving their approach to industry entry.
As Spirit progresses into production, all eyes will be on the official credits to see if these star kids officially join the team — and how their involvement might influence their paths ahead in Telugu cinema.
