Retro movie will be Suriya’s latest movie. It hit the theaters on May 1, 2025. Pooja hegde is playing the female lead role. The movie is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and the cast includes Jayaram, Joju George, and Nassar. Santosh Narayanan is composing the music.
The film is Produced by Kaarthekeyen, Santhanam, Kalyan Subramanian, Jyothika and Suriya under Stone Bench Creations and 2D Entertainment and Edited by Shafique Mohamed Ali.
Retro earned less than Rs. 3 crores gross in the Telugu states on its opening day. The results are very bad as they are competing with a movie like HIT 3. The movie had also mostly received negative reviews.
The word of mouth is also not good and there is no big hype for the movie.Suriya’s project with director Venky Atluri has a good chance to have a good revenue.
While Suriya is an actor whose performance is liked by everyone. But a single person cannot make a blockbuster movie Blockbuster. We cannot say that the film will be a disaster but the openings in the box office are surely not good.
