After a string of routine films, Kiran Abbavaram struck gold with the out-of-the-box concept of KA, which became a super hit at the box office. The film grossed nearly ₹50 crores, providing much-needed relief for the actor. Riding high on this success, Kiran has announced his next project.
Titled Dilruba, the movie is a romantic entertainer written and directed by Viswa Karun. Sharing the first-look poster, Kiran wrote, “Love is a great feeling, but it also causes immense pain at the same time.” From this hint, it seems Dilruba will explore the theme of love and heartbreak.
Details about the female lead are yet to be revealed. The film is being jointly produced by Ravi, Jojo Jose, Rakesh Reddy, and Saregama under the Sivam Celluloids banner, with music composed by Sam CS. Dilruba is slated for a theatrical release in February 2025.
