Tollywood’s first blockbuster of the year, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, has taken the box office by storm, delivering a massive hit. Starring Venkatesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles, this family entertainer is helmed by the renowned director Anil Ravipudi.
For those eagerly anticipating the film’s OTT release, there’s a surprising update. ZEE, which holds the OTT and satellite rights, has officially announced an unexpected release strategy. A newly released promo confirms that the movie will have its world television premiere first on Zee Telugu, delaying its digital release.
This unusual decision suggests that the makers are prioritizing television audiences before making the film available on streaming platforms. The official TV premiere date will be revealed soon, with the OTT release date expected to be announced at a later time.
Alongside the stellar lead cast, the film also features Naresh, Srinivas Avasarala, Revanth, and VTV Ganesh in key roles. Bankrolled by Shirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam also boasts a chart-topping soundtrack composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
