Happy 70th Birthday to the legendary Kamal Haasan! The superstar was celebrated with a touching birthday tribute from his daughter, actress Shruti Haasan. Marking the occasion, Shruti shared a beautiful monochrome photo on Instagram, showing her and Kamal standing side-by-side in a gym with their backs to the camera. Accompanying the image was a heartfelt message for her “appa,” which read:
“Happy birthday, appa. You’re a rare gem, and walking by your side is one of my favorite things in life. I know you don’t believe in God, but you’ll always be His/Her chosen child, and I’m always thrilled to see the magical things you create. Here’s to many more birthdays and dreams coming true. Love you so much, Pa.”
This isn’t the first time Shruti has honored her father’s legacy. In June, she performed a musical tribute for Kamal at the grand audio launch of Indian 2. Sharing glimpses of the performance on Instagram, she expressed, “What a night. I was honored to pay tribute to my dear Appa at the massive Indian 2 audio launch! Seeing him smile when I sing is always a gift because he’s a huge part of why I’m a musician today.” She also praised her band for their dedication, saying, “A giant shout-out to my incredibly talented band that worked tirelessly to put together this set honoring dad’s incredible musical legacy.”
On the professional front, Shruti was recently seen alongside Prabhas in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, and her next project is Coolie with Lokesh Kanagaraj, featuring Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, and Soubin Shahir. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is gearing up for Indian 3 and Thug Life, a collaboration with Mani Ratnam.
