SS Rajamouli Reveals Suriya Inspired His Pan-Indian Cinema Vision

Date:

Tamil star Suriya is pulling out all the stops for his upcoming mega-release, Kanguva, which promises to be a cinematic spectacle with an expansive cast, grand visuals, and a wide-scale release. Helmed by director Siruthai Siva, the film is slated for a grand theatrical launch on November 14, 2024.

The Kanguva promotional team recently returned to Hyderabad, hosting an event graced by renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli as the chief guest. Rajamouli, while addressing the audience, credited Suriya’s influence for his own journey into pan-Indian cinema. Recalling the impact of Suriya’s earlier film Gajini in the Telugu states, Rajamouli shared, “When Suriya brought Gajini here, he made everyone feel like he was ‘one of them.’ That connection inspired me to aim for a pan-Indian appeal with Baahubali. Suriya, thank you for showing us the way.” His tribute was met with resounding applause, and Suriya responded with heartfelt appreciation.

As Kanguva builds anticipation, an electrifying theatrical trailer is expected to raise excitement levels even higher. Alongside Suriya, the film features Disha Patani in a pivotal role, with GV Prakash Kumar composing the score. Backed by Studio Green and UV Creations, Kanguva will launch in multiple languages worldwide, aiming to captivate audiences globally.
