Summer movies breathe a sigh of relief as theater strike postponed

Date:

The Telugu film industry and movie lovers can now watch their movies in theaters. The proposed end of single-screen theaters across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was  originally scheduled for June 1, 2025. But it  has been postponed.

The discussion at the Film Chamber, exhibitors, distributors, and producers agreed to delay the closure of theaters because of the  upcoming release of several high-profile films.

The Film Chamber meeting got the participation of 40 exhibitors from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Single-screen theaters were temporarily closed for a few days due to the Qube issue. But it was followed by a temporary halt in shoots to address the rising remunerations of actors and technicians.

The Telugu film industry has been facing significant losses for a long time  due to piracy, the IPL, and the OTT platform. The losses can widen due to these factors. But the association has to do something to stop these losses, otherwise it can cause large losses. Stay tuned for more such updates.
