Kollywood star Suriya has officially completed the production of his highly anticipated 44th film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. The film, which began its journey in Andaman back in June, wrapped up its shoot across various locations, marking an exciting milestone for the team.
Suriya took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news, saying, “A wholesome, happy shoot got done across several locations… Lots of memories with the super talented cast & crew.” He expressed his admiration for Karthik Subbaraj, adding that the director had become a “brother for life.” Suriya further thanked the entire team, emphasizing that the project was a memorable experience for him.
The film, tentatively titled Suriya44, stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Suriya’s 2D Entertainment is producing this gangster drama, with music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, known for his work in Kalki.
As fans eagerly await the release of Suriya44, the actor’s next film Kanguva is set to hit theaters on November 14. Meanwhile, Suriya44 is expected to have a worldwide release in the summer of next year, building anticipation for another blockbuster season.
