Recent reports indicate that the Maharashtra cyber cell has summoned her for questioning regarding her alleged involvement with the illegal betting app Fairplay, a sister app to the Mahadev betting platform.
Tamannaah has been directed to appear before the cyber cell on April 29, 2024, amidst allegations of promoting the unauthorized viewing of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. Viacom 18, the sole owner of the streaming rights for IPL matches, reported significant financial losses due to the illegal streaming activities.
Previously, actor Sanjay Dutt, known for his role in “The Raja Saab,” was also summoned by the cyber cell for questioning on April 23, 2024.
