The spy genre has always been Bollywood’s favorite. People like to see spy film’s a lot.It has seen massive hits like Ek Tha Tiger, War, and Pathaan which have given huge box office hits.
Naveen Polishetty’s Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya have also been big successes from this concept.
But some films are also not performing well in the genre. Recent example is Jack.
Jack, starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda had the concept of a secret agent fall flat. The movie was directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. He attempted to blend humor with a serious espionage story.
On the other hand, films like Goodachari which had a strong star cast like Adivi Sesh, made a good film.It set a new standard for the genre, proving that a tight screenplay and serious execution can make a spy thriller a hit.
These films have proved that if a spy film is made according to a good concept, it can be a massive hit.
