Reports suggest that Shruti Haasan was initially cast as the female lead, with some portions of her scenes already shot, but they were later scrapped. It remains to be seen who will replace her in this pan-Indian project, which is produced by Suniel Narang. The music for Dacoit is being composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
