Some of the biggest upcoming Telugu films, including Devara, Pushpa 2: The Rule, and Game Changer, are gearing up for release in the coming months, but the release calendar is facing some uncertainty.
Devara, starring Jr. NTR, has a clear path for its release, with the actor currently promoting the film. On the other hand, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is in its final stages of production, with an official release date set for December 6th. However, despite repeated confirmations, there are speculations that the film may not meet this deadline. If Pushpa 2 gets delayed, several mid-budget films are prepared to release on the same date.
Similarly, Ram Charan’s Game Changer has a tentative release date of December 20th, according to producer Dil Raju, but no official announcement has been made. Since it coincides with the Christmas season, 2-3 mid-budget Tollywood films are eyeing that release window. Although the shoot of Game Changer is nearly complete, director Shankar’s meticulous approach to post-production has cast doubts on whether the film will be ready in time.
Meanwhile, Megastar Chiranjeevi has completed the filming of Vishwambara at a record pace, with only a song left to be shot. The post-production work is moving quickly, and the team is negotiating digital deals to recover a large portion of the investment. If streaming platforms suggest pushing the release date to maximize returns, the film’s release could be rescheduled, although the makers are determined to launch it for Sankranthi 2025. With these potential shifts, there’s growing uncertainty in Tollywood’s release lineup.
