April has been a rough ride for Tollywood so far, with multiple releases falling short at the box office. Notably, Tamannaah’s Odela 2 and the much-anticipated Kalyan Ram–Vijayashanthi starrer Arjun Son of Vyjayanthi failed to make an impact, leaving theater owners in the Telugu states anxious.
Now, all eyes are on the upcoming weekend as three new films and a couple of re-releases aim to breathe life back into the cinemas. Here’s a quick look at the theatrical releases lined up from April 25 to 27.
🎬 This Weekend’s Telugu Releases (April 25, 2025)
1. Sarangapani Jathakam – UA – 135 Minutes
Starring Priyadarshi and directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna, this film is expected to offer an engaging blend of humor and drama.
2. Chaurya Paatham – UA – 124 Minutes
A small-scale crime comedy backed by director Trinadharao Nakkina, this film aims to charm audiences with its quirky premise and tight storytelling.
3. Gymkhana – UA – 140 Minutes
This is the Telugu dubbed version of the Malayalam hit Alappuzha Gymkhana. With its already proven success in Kerala, expectations are decent for its run in Telugu states.
🔁 Re-Releases to Watch Out For
In addition to the new releases, theaters will also screen two popular films as part of re-release celebrations:
