In a tragic development, actor Rakesh Poojary, known for winning Comedy Kiladigalu Season 3, passed away due to a heart attack on Sunday evening. The incident occurred during a mehendi ceremony in Nitte, near Udupi. Rakesh, who had recently completed shooting for Kantara: Chapter 1, was attending the wedding festivities when he suddenly collapsed. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead.
This heartbreaking news comes just days after another tragedy struck the film’s team. A junior artiste associated with the project tragically drowned while swimming in a river during a break from the shoot.
While neither incident took place on the film’s sets, the series of unfortunate events has brought unwanted attention to Kantara: Chapter 1. The production team and fans alike are mourning the untimely loss of talented individuals connected to the film.
