Bollywood star Varun Dhawan and leading South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu are set to shine in the highly anticipated Amazon Prime series Citadel: Honey Bunny. Directed by The Family Man creators Raj and DK, the spy thriller is slated for a November 7 premiere. The recently released action-packed trailer has already garnered substantial buzz for this high-budget series.
In a recent interview, Varun Dhawan showered praise on his co-star Samantha, revealing that she was his first choice for the role. “When we spoke about this, the first person who came to my mind was Samantha. I thought, ‘If Sam does it, it will become huge, and we will bounce off each other very well.’ We’ve got a unique kind of chemistry,” Varun shared.
Citadel: Honey Bunny explores the thrilling and action-filled journey of Bunny, a stuntman played by Varun, and Honey, a struggling actress portrayed by Samantha, who team up for a daring side gig. The show is executive produced by Anthony and Joe Russo and also stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar in key roles.
