Why HIT 3 & Retro Hindi Versions Are Missing from Multiplexes: Here’s the Real Reason

Date:

South stars Suriya and Nani are set to test their box office pull in the Hindi belt with the dubbed versions of their latest films, Retro and HIT: The Third Case. Both films are gearing up for a multilingual release in just a few hours.

However, the Hindi versions of Retro and HIT 3 will not be screened in major national multiplex chains. The reason? Both movies have reportedly breached the four-week exclusivity window set before their digital premieres. As widely reported, streaming giant Netflix has secured the exclusive OTT rights for both films.

With no presence in top multiplexes, the Hindi versions of Retro and HIT 3 will largely rely on the support and turnout from audiences at single-screen theatres.
