His journey in cinema commenced with the commercial success of “Nandanam” in 2002, marking his debut as an actor. However, it was the 2006 film “Classmates” that propelled him to the forefront of Malayalam cinema, emerging as the highest-grossing film of the year. Notably, his portrayal in “Vaasthavam” earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, making him the youngest recipient at the age of 24.

his family resided in Tamil Nadu, where he attended Shrine Vailankanni Senior Secondary School in T. Nagar, Chennai, and later St. Joseph’s Boys School in Coonoor. Upon relocating to Kerala, he continued his education at NSS Public School in Perunthanni, followed by St. Mary’s Residential Central School in Poojappura, where he actively participated in plays and skits.

Prithviraj further pursued his studies at Sainik School in Kazhakootam and Bhavan’s Senior Secondary School in Kodunganoor. Throughout his schooling, he showcased his oratory skills, winning numerous debates and elocution competitions. Notably, he achieved the title of “Mr LA Fest” at Loyola School in Thiruvananthapuram for two consecutive years, a feat unmatched to date.

After completing his schooling, Prithviraj pursued a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology at the University of Tasmania in Australia. It was during this period that he auditioned for director Ranjith, landing the lead role in the film “Nandanam.” His introduction to Ranjith was facilitated by film director Fazil.
