In 2014, Akhil made a brief cameo appearance in the beloved family drama “Manam” (2014), directed by Vikram Kumar. The film featured three generations of actors from the Akkineni family, and Akhil’s cameo in the climax was widely appreciated by the audience. His experience shooting alongside his grandfather, father, and half-brother was described as both nervous and exciting. “Manam” went on to become one of the most profitable Telugu films of 2014 and received critical acclaim, earning several awards, including Best Film at the Filmfare Awards. In October 2021, Akhil’s fourth film, the romantic comedy “Most Eligible Bachelor,” was released. Directed by Bhaskar and co-starring Pooja Hegde, the film was produced by Bunny Vas and Vasu Varma under GA2. It garnered success at the box office, finally giving Akhil a much-awaited hit.

Akhil’s subsequent film, “Agent,” directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Anil Sunkara, hit theaters on April 28, 2023. Despite a substantial budget of 80 crores, the film received overwhelmingly negative reviews from both critics and audiences. It struggled at the box office and was deemed a commercial failure.

Akhil Akkineni Marriage:

In 2016, Akhil got engaged to Shriya Bhupal, the granddaughter of the business magnate, G. V. Krishna Reddy. Their wedding was initially scheduled for 2017 but was subsequently called off, with reasons undisclosed.
