Baby John on the Brink of a Major Box Office Disaster

Varun Dhawan’s latest release, Baby John, has opened to a lukewarm response, marking a major setback at the box office. The film managed to collect only ₹10 crores nett worldwide on its opening day, falling significantly short of expectations.

The second day’s estimates paint an even grimmer picture, with collections dropping to around ₹4-5 crores—just 50% of the opening day figures. With this pace, Baby John may struggle to cross the ₹50 crores nett mark, signaling a possible disaster for the makers.

The team behind Baby John had high hopes for the film, aiming for it to be a blockbuster. Unfortunately, stiff competition from Pushpa 2, which is dominating the Hindi belt, has severely impacted the film’s performance. Even Salman Khan’s cameo failed to boost its box office numbers as anticipated.

While the current trend suggests a steep challenge ahead, it remains to be seen if Baby John can recover in the coming days with positive word of mouth or better weekend turnout.
