Congress MLA Criticizes Rashmika Mandanna, Says She Must Be Taught a Lesson

National Crush Rashmika Mandanna has added another blockbuster to her name with Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal. The historical drama is racing towards the ₹500 crore nett club in Bollywood. However, during the film’s promotions, Rashmika’s statement about being from Hyderabad sparked controversy among Kannadigas.

Today, Karnataka Congress MLA Ravi Ganiga criticized the actress, stating she should be “taught a lesson” for disregarding the Kannada industry that launched her career. Addressing the media at Vidhana Soudha, he recalled how Rashmika, despite multiple invitations, refused to attend the International Film Festival in Bangalore last year. He also alleged that she dismissed Karnataka despite her roots in the industry.

Following these remarks, Rashmika has received widespread support online. One netizen questioned, “Teach a lesson? Seriously? She will now face unnecessary hate because of this.” Another pointed out, “The hatred Rashmika gets is unreal, just because her past relationship with a Kannada actor didn’t end well.” As the controversy unfolds, Rashmika remains focused on her work while fans rally behind her.
