Netflix initially announced that Pushpa 2: The Rule would premiere on its OTT platform on January 30, 2025. The news, shared via the app’s “Coming Soon” section, sparked excitement among fans. However, the announcement was quickly removed, leaving viewers in confusion.
Later that night, Netflix updated its statement, confirming that Pushpa 2 is “coming soon” on the platform without specifying a release date. The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, but surprisingly, there was no mention of a Hindi version.
The OTT version of Pushpa 2 comes with an exciting twist: Netflix revealed it will include 23 minutes of extra footage. The theatrical version, released on December 5, 2024, had a runtime of 200 minutes. On January 17, 2025, the makers extended the runtime to 220 minutes by adding 20 minutes of additional content. Netflix’s version now boasts 3 minutes of exclusive, unseen footage, bringing the total runtime to 223 minutes.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles.
