Scheduled to stream on Amazon Prime from May 3rd, “Family Star” features the dynamic pairing of Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, along with the much-anticipated collaboration between Parasuram and Vijay Deverakonda since “Geetha Govindam.” Despite efforts by producer Dil Raju and the team to drum up excitement, including trailer and song releases, the film failed to resonate with audiences. Negative word-of-mouth further compounded the film’s woes, resulting in a disastrous weekend performance and an embarrassing failure for “Family Star.”
