In a surprising turn of events, buyers of Game Changer are now seeing profits, achieving breakeven much earlier than expected. This remarkable outcome is largely attributed to the success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. It’s widely known that producer Dil Raju bundled the rights for both Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, selling them at a 70:30 ratio. However, the films have performed in reverse proportions, with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam delivering the lion’s share of profits at a 30:70 ratio.
Thanks to the phenomenal run of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Venkatesh, some buyers have already reached breakeven, and the rest are expected to enter the profit zone by Monday. This unexpected performance is also expected to bring overflows for Dil Raju, as the film continues to dominate the box office with its epic success.
Releasing Sankranthiki Vasthunnam during the festive Sankranti season proved to be a masterstroke, securing massive returns for buyers. If only Game Changer had been released, it would have placed immense financial pressure on Dil Raju and the buyers. As a standalone project, Game Changer has reportedly incurred losses of over 50% in its business.
However, the strategic pairing of these two films has turned the tide, ensuring profits for buyers and reaffirming Dil Raju’s foresight as a producer.
