Despite low pre-release buzz, Hari Hara Veera Mallu managed to register an impressive opening during its premiere shows, thanks to record ticket price hikes and aggressive promotions by Pawan Kalyan. The film opened strong with a worldwide gross of ₹70 crore on Day 1, but things quickly took a downturn.
The film received largely negative word-of-mouth right from the first shows, and that impact became evident on Day 2. Even with decent occupancy expected for a star-led project, Hari Hara Veera Mallu failed to show any growth, not even in the evening and night shows.
Shockingly, the Day 2 worldwide gross slipped below ₹10 crore, indicating a sharp fall. The estimated share is reported to be under ₹5 crore — a worrying trend for any big-budget film.
Adding to the concerns, weekend advance bookings remain poor with no noticeable improvement. If this trend continues, the film might wrap up its theatrical run by the end of the first weekend itself.
