Income Tax raids on prominent Tollywood personalities, including top producers like Dil Raju and Mythri Movies, recently stirred up considerable media buzz. The raids, which lasted four days, targeted various locations across Hyderabad and other areas. While the search operation did not uncover any significant irregularities, speculation persists about the possible seizure of incriminating documents.

For the first time since the raids, Dil Raju held a press conference to set the record straight. He firmly denied the rumors circulating in the media, claiming that no discrepancies were found in his accounts by the IT department. He also addressed the baseless allegations regarding the seizure of unaccounted money from his residence and family members’ homes.

Dil Raju clarified that the IT raids uncovered five lakh rupees at his home, four and a half lakh rupees at his partner Sirish’s residence, six lakh rupees at his daughter’s house, and two and a half lakh rupees at his office. He emphasized that the IT officials were provided with all the necessary documentation regarding the cash found.

The producer revealed that it had been 16 years since the IT department last raided his office, citing a similar search operation back in 2008. He reassured that such raids are standard for businesspeople, particularly in the film industry. Dil Raju also stressed that both he and his family had fully cooperated with the IT officials throughout the process.

Expressing his dissatisfaction with the exaggerated media coverage, Dil Raju requested that media outlets refrain from publishing unverified reports. Addressing the claim that inflated box office collections might have triggered the raids, he categorically denied the existence of black money circulation in Tollywood.
