Thammudu Becomes Nithiin’s Biggest Flop, Worse Than Robinhood & Extra Ordinary Man

Date:

Nithiin, who has been going through a rough patch in his career with back-to-back flops, faced another major setback with his latest release Thammudu. Directed by Sriram Venu, the action drama has turned out to be an even bigger disaster than his previous films Robinhood and Extra Ordinary Man.

Despite being made on a massive budget, Thammudu failed to generate even decent openings. Along with Extra Ordinary Man and Robinhood, the film couldn’t attract audiences to theatres, resulting in yet another disappointment for the actor.

Thammudu Turns Out to Be Nithiin’s Biggest Flop

What’s even more shocking is that Thammudu managed to close its worldwide theatrical run with a share of just around ₹2.5 crore — lower than the final numbers of Robinhood and Extra Ordinary Man. All three films ended with a single-digit share, despite heavy investments and promotional efforts.

While earlier flops like Rang De and Macherla Niyojaka Vargam at least managed some decent collections despite negative reviews, Nithiin’s recent releases have failed to even achieve that.

With Thammudu reportedly made on a staggering ₹75 crore budget, the film’s poor box office performance has come as a massive blow — not just for Nithiin, but also for the producers and trade circles.
