Megastar Chiranjeevi is set to make a grand return with the socio-fantasy film “Vishwambara.” Directed by Vassistha and featuring an ensemble cast, the film is in its final stages of production. Produced by UV Creations, “Vishwambara” was initially slated for a Sankranthi release. However, with the arrival of “Game Changer,” the release has been postponed. Speculations suggest a mid-summer release, but the team has yet to confirm.
The film faces significant challenges with its digital rights. Despite quoting high prices, streaming giants like Amazon and Netflix have shown reluctance, offering only a fraction of the asking price. UV Creations has rejected Netflix’s minimal offer, leaving the film without a digital partner as the summer release calendar fills up.
Adding to the uncertainty, the teaser received a mixed response, putting additional pressure on the producers to sell non-theatrical rights and manage finances before the theatrical debut. As of now, the release of “Vishwambara” remains uncertain, leaving the team in a dilemma.
