Devi Sri Prasad, commonly known as DSP, once ruled as the top music director in Tollywood, crafting memorable tunes for Telugu cinema. However, recent years have seen a shift, with other composers like Thaman and Anirudh gaining prominence. DSP’s last notable composition was for Waltair Veerayya, released during the 2023 Sankranti season.
But now, he’s making a strong comeback with a slew of major projects lined up. Initially, he had Pushpa 2 and Kanguva, starring Suriya, in his hands. However, DSP recently secured three significant films: Thandel, featuring Naga Chaitanya in a massive pan-India venture produced by Geetha Arts; Kubera, directed by Sekhar Kammula and starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna in a pan-India production; and the latest addition, Ajith’s upcoming project Good Bad Ugly, announced just yesterday.
Adding to his already impressive lineup is Ustaad Bhagat Singh, although its release date remains uncertain. Additionally, he’s onboard for Ratnam, starring Kollywood star Vishal. With such high-profile projects in his kitty, fans and music aficionados are eagerly anticipating chart-topping tracks from DSP, hoping for a resurgence of his musical brilliance.
